What Customers Say About The 6ixth Session:

Nonetheless it is wonderful, can put you in a trance, is fun to dance to, and good to sleep to. I warn you this album however can feel a little repetative. When I first heard Dieselboy I wanted to buy the "Dungeon Masters Guide" so I highly recommend that one, HOWEVER "the 6th session" is fantastic. Simply put, DJ Dieselboy is awesome.

If you can get me a better drum and bass cd, please tell me. This whole CD tells a story, thats what any tech albums should do. Dieselboy is gold, everything he touches is awesome.

This is Dieselboy's transitional album because it shows him moving away from his patented techstep to a darker drum and bass sound, although he doesn't abandon the techstep elements completely. He's approached this technical wizardry on occasion, but has never been able to match it. But the first third and last third of Disc 1 is varied and well-constructed. Disc 1 can't approach the consistency of Disc 2 since it is twice as long and the repetitious nature of Disc 1's middle part is a bit much, but all-in-all, a winner from Dieselboy. The songs on Disc 2 have structure with a beginning, middle, and end, proving that Dieselboy is more than just a mere mixer. Dieselboy's 6ixth Session holds two distinctions: it contains Dieselboy's best opening and his best disc.

Disc 1 is amusing, although the middle of it is as repetitive as Dieselboy has ever been. In the realm of drum-and-bass, only Roni Size's second disc of New Forms tops Disc 2 of 6ixth Session. "Initialize" is exactly that: a slow buildup of bits and pieces of electronica, deep and brooding, as if a robot has just been built and now it's getting ready to initialize and wreak havoc. Disc 2 is perfect; every drum and every bass is just so flawlessly executed and impeccably blended, you'd think that Dieselboy is a genius. B+ After "Initialize", the robot comes to life.

But it's Disc 2 that remains Dieselboy's finest hour.

:) I remembered it through the years and finally bought it recently and it's still as good as ever, I have trouble sitting still while listening to it. An oldy but goody. I heard this album back in high school when one of my friends let me copy it to minidisc.

If you like to drive fast or do extreme $hit, then this is what u rock too.oh and I love goldie, and the metalheadz, i have plenty of their cds, but I would take this over any metalheadz cd, anyday, but honestly this cd vs metalheadz is like apples and oranges, but to spend $10.00 elsewhere would be a waste if you crave hard awesome jams. Dieselboy's BEST, second is dugeon masters or project human, or system upgrade, depends on what style u want, I own all of his albums, including the new HUmAN RESOUrce, honestly its not the get up and groove type, its hardcore, REALLY hardcore jungle DNB. This has got heart pounding bass, and crazy synths, super hard fast dnb, with great breakdowns and all blends together very hard and very well.
